Parts List Management is CRITICAL

Many companies have issues with parts lists, some they are not even aware of;

  • Wrong Parts in BOMs on assets, cost of extended downs, parts returns

  • Obsolete parts in BOMs, causing frustration and lots of manual direct charges

  • Use of FL or EQ BOMs on common assets - wasted time keeping them consistent, 3 pumps = 3X effort

  • Use of FL or EQ Task Lists for common assets, best practices to use General Task Lists to MINIMIZE EFFORT

  • General Task Lists with no header assembly identified, wasted time searching assemblies

  • Parts against operation in task lists not associated to assembly on header; "orphaned" parts, not copied, cannot use mass changes

  • Use of Construction Type BOMs assigned to assets (best practices) but too many parts in unsorted listing, causing wrong parts ordered, frustrations and wasted time

  • Accidental creation of alternate BOMs that no one will see - wasted time, confusion

Testimonials

Project Leader

by TJ Agenbroad, Pangaea Project Senior Process Maint. Planner/SAP Super-user

Greg hit the ground running. He caught on to the company’s specific SAP implementation program in a very short period of time, since every company will be different. He worked as an SAP PM Coach, doing rounds around most of the Carlin site visiting and assisting foreman, planners, managers, trades, security and operations personnel. He was also tasked to prepare new course curriculums and course materials and deliver the training in our training lab. He took initiative in sourcing and making available the Newmont specific course materials and job aids and identifying errors and omissions. He documented issues and solutions to share with other team members and sites. Even after all the time that went by learning everything we could from Greg, there will never be enough time to gain the knowledge this gentleman possesses. He will be missed. I would highly recommend Greg to assist any company to help them and their employees for any and all SAP implementation and training
